Holy Cow

This morning, I stepped on the scale and found out that I am less than one pound away from my 15% goal. (Note: when I lost my weight the first time, I did not step on the scale except for at my WW meeting.) As exciting as this is, I think that I have decided to continue with a bit more of a loss.

Part of me wants to be a bit less. Part of me just wants to have that "wiggle room" in which I can mess up occasionally.

Today has been a good eating day so far, but for some reason I feel really hungry. And I feel sort of wierd....like....I must be bloated, but don't feel that way. It is leftovers again for dinner tonight. I don't know what my husband took for his lunch, so it may end up that I cook. I would like to have chicken pasta side with sauteed mushrooms. However, I have soo many points still left to eat.

THis gives me a dilema. I don't want to over eat with something else. But I don't want to overeat either. mmmmmm.....what to do? Guess we'll have to wait and see what else is in the fridge.

Hope you are having a great week so far.

When we joined WW, they told us to only check your weight once a week @ the meeting. I thought at the time the only way to tell if I was doing alright was to check it daily! I have always been checking my weight each morning. Sometimes I like what I see, other mornings "A-H-H-H-H-H-H! Where did that come from?

We have a good digital scale, with good batteries but there are times that I get different weights within minutes of each other, sometimes with as much a 2 pounds difference. So much for digital accuracy!

I believe checking at least daily keeps me on track better. If my weight goes up a little, I can adjust my intake for the day by a few points to hopefully drop the pounds.

I'd still like to know where those sneaky pounds come from! I eat my points, exercise but every now & then some phantom pounds, floating around in the ether, attach themselves to me!

See you Saturday morning! I'm only 4.6 lbs from my 5% target. Won't be long I hope.

Al, You know what?! Whatever works for you. When I joined WW, I threw out my scale. The only time I weighed in was at my meeting. I have an official WW scale, so I know that it is accurate. I wish I had a good one that I could recommend to you.

I get what you mean about the phantom pounds though. Maybe if you do a bit of extra journaling or keep your tracker near by when weighing in, you could try to figure that out better. Perhaps, you had a big meal later in the day than usual, or you did not drink as much water as you usually do, maybe it was because of something else. I can usually figure it out by looking at my journal.....that said, I guess they aren't as much phantom pounds as I think they are, huh?

I am pumped about your 5%. Good for you. I know that this will happen for you real soon. YOu can do it. Keep up the good work.

Love in losing,
Jenny
